On a Summer’s day in June this year, Horsenden Farm was transformed into a winter wonderland.
The Little White Company fell for the main Kent barn at the farm, with its gorgeous rustic interior and charming exterior, complete with corrugated tin roof.
Creating a Christmas Outdoors Scene – 3 Essential Props
Three main props transformed the shoot location into Christmas. Of course the No. 1 prop for a Christmas outdoors shoot has to be the snow, provided in a flash by the Snow Business team.

Throughout the day the snow was added and topped up by Snow Business. Completely biodegradable, not a sign of snow was found the following day.
The second essential prop are the trees and wreaths. Clare, the hands-on owner sourced a few christmas trees from just down the road, and a prop stylist was on the crew to create the wreaths and garlands on site.
And thirdly, en essential prop for a Christmas photo shoot with the Little White Company was a donkey. Again, Clare the owner of Horsenden Farm, knew of a pair of donkeys on a farm nearby, and she organised their hire and looked after their handling on the day.
When shooting on location on a farm, often producers and photographers will grab the opportune moment when something extra might catch their eye. That’s what happened with a new labrador puppy. Good as gold, he featured too!
